Stop Firefox From Scanning Downloaded Files

I love working on Mozilla Firefox as I find it safer and faster browser than other browser. There are many people who also like it because of its quality and performance. Earlier I told you about Mozilla Firefox not responding. We also want to stop Firefox from scanning downloaded files. It is called an open-source browser that focuses strongly on security of the users.  It is an important and good thing but we also face some problems while using this. It starts scanning downloaded files which are important for you.

As we know that Firefox takes enough time to complete the virus scanning for downloads. Sometimes, especially in Firefox 4 beta, this even causes the browser to crash. You can also face the problem of Firefox not responding. Here I will share with you some steps to save your downloaded files from scanning.

Note:- If you are not so tech savvy or don’t have enough computer knowledge, please avoid doing this. I will not be liable for the damage that may be caused to your PC after editing the settings by following the given tips. You have to proceed at your own risk or you may take help at this Toll Free No. 1-855-207-5444.

Type “about config” in address bar.

You will find a warning message; you have to enter ‘OK’ there.

Type 'browser.download.manager.scan When Done' in search bar. If you have not used this configuration page before, you may get intimidated. Don't let that happen to you.

When you get the results, double-click it to switch the value from true to false.
